Here we are, LA

Very long,10:45 hours and tedious flight but here we are in warm and sunny Los Angeles. In our room at the Hilton 

(pictured) by 00:45 UK time. Now almost 5pm, 1am blighty time. I'll leave y'all to do the math from now on.

Slight panic at check in, as they couldn't find our booking. Soon sorted though. 

Have met a nice couple, from near Gatwick (Graham & Jan), who are doing the tour also. Off now to have a beer with them. They have also done Route 66, so we have a fair bit in common.
